I don't usually like Miley Cyrus, but this song is my favorite. The song was originally intended for Jessie J, however, the producers passed the song on to Cyrus, believing it was not edgy enough for herself. Would it have been a hit if Jessie J had sung it? Feel free to post your answer on my Google + or Twitter profile.
I hopped off the plane at L.A.X.
With a dream and my cardigan
Welcome to the land of fame excess,
Am I gonna fit in?
Jumped in the cab,
Here I am for the first time
Look to my right and I see the Hollywood sign
This is all so crazy
Everybody seems so famous
My tummy's turnin' and I'm feelin' kinda home sick
Too much pressure and I'm nervous,
That's when the taxi man turned on the radio
And a Jay-Z song was on (x3)
[Chorus:]
So I put my hands up
They're playing my song,
And the butterflies fly away
I'm noddin' my head like yeah
I'm movin' my hips like yeah
I got my hands up,
They're playin' my song
I know I'm gonna be OK
Yeah, it's a party in the USA
Yeah, it's a party in the USA
Get to the club in my taxi cab
Everybody's looking at me now
Like "Who's that chick, that's rockin' kicks?
She gotta be from out of town"
So hard with my girls not around me
It's definitely not a Nashville party
'cause all I see are stilettos
I guess I never got the memo
My tummy's turnin' and I'm feelin' kinda home sick
Too much pressure and I'm nervous
That's when the D.J. dropped my favorite tune
and a Britney song was on (3 times)
Repeat Chorus
Feel like hoppin' on a flight (on a flight)
Back to my hometown tonight (town tonight)
Something stops me every time (every time)
The DJ plays my song and I feel alright
[Chorus x2]

Goodbye February: Outlaw
Outlaw is a track taken from the last album of Selena Gomez & the Scene "When The Sun Goes Down." Selena Gomez & the Scene break up earlier this month. Check out Selena Gomez 2012 news for more information.
"Outlaw"
[Verse 1:]
You've been riding this horse a long time
Why can't you find what you've been looking for?
Always greener on the other side
Always believing there must be something more
Never stay very long anywhere
As the next girl you leave gets smaller
In your rear-view mirror
[Chorus:]
You're an outlaw
You're an outlaw
You're an outlaw running from love
If you tear her world apart
You have no regrets
If there's a key to your heart
No one has found it yet
You've an outlaw
You've an outlaw
You've an outlaw
You've an outlaw running from love
[Verse 2:]
Your reputation's getting out of control
I can't believe she believes one word you said
Before I let you take my girlfriend home
I've got to warn her about the price on your head
It must feel so alone out there
Always running away from someone
But you get more nowhere
Repeat Chorus
If you tear her world apart
You have no regrets
If there's a key to your heart
No one has found it yet
You're an outlaw
You're an outlaw
You're an outlaw
You're an outlaw running from love
[Bridge:]
I'm from the Lone Star State
I'm ready to bring you in, oh
I'm gonna seal your fate
Make you pay for all your sins, oh, oh-oh
You've been riding this horse a long time
I've had my eye on you all night
I'm gonna find a way to make you mind
I know, even though
Repeat Chorus 2 times
If you tear her world apart
You have no regrets...
... stop running
Well, this is my last post of February. I hope March will be a lucky month for me.

Hey Stephen - Taylor Swift (album Fearless)
This is my second post featuring Taylor Swift's song. This time I pick another song from her very successful album Fearless which earned her Grammy Award for Album of The Year.
"Hey Stephen"
Hey Stephen, I know looks can be deceiving but I know I saw a light in you
As we walked we were talking and I didn't say half the things I wanted to
Of all the girls tossing rocks at your window
I'll be the one waiting there even when it's cold
Hey Stephen, boy you might have me believing I don't always have to be alone.
[Chorus:]
'cause I can't help it if you look like an angel
Can't help I if I wanna kiss you in the rain so
Come feel this magic I've been feeling since I met you
Can't help it if there's no one else
I can't help myself
Hey Stephen, I've been holding back this feeling
So I've got some things to say to you
I seen it all so I thought but I never seen nobody shine the way you do
The way you walk, way you talk, way you say my name
It's beautiful, wonderful, don't you ever change
Hey Stephen, why are people always leaving
I think you and I should stay the same
Repeat Chorus
They're dimming the street lights
You're perfect for me why aren't you here tonight?
I'm waiting alone now so come on and come out and pull me near
Shine, shine, shine
Hey Stephen I could give you fifty reasons why I should be the one you choose
All those other girls, well they're beautiful but would they write a song for you
[Chorus x2]
Myself, can't help myself
I can't help myself.
Enjoy this video.

Better That We Break - Maroon 5 (album It Won't Be Soon Before Long)
Simon Cowell is eager to up the stakes of his talent show empire by pitching the next winner of The X Factor against the champions of his former programme American Idol and newcomer The Voice. However Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, who is one of the coaches of the American version of The Voice, is not a fan of the idea. Adam Levine and girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna dropped by "The Howard Stern Show" this week. The rocker found himself discussing a pretty touchy subject: Christina Aguilera's weight. Stern tried to bait Levine into saying something nasty about Aguilera’s weight, but Adam was wise to his game and side stepped the land mine successfully.
"Better That We Break"
I never knew perfection til
I heard you speak, and now it kills me
Just to hear you say the simple things
Now waking up is hard to do
And sleeping is impossible too
Everything is reminding me of you
What can I do?
It’s not right, not OK
Say the words that you say
Maybe we’re better off this way?
I’m not fine, I’m in pain
It’s harder everyday
Maybe we’re better off this way?
It’s better that we break…
A fool to let you slip away
I chase you just to hear you say
You’re scared and that you think that I’m insane
The city look so nice from here
Pity I can’t see it clearly
While you’re standing there, it disappears
It disappears
It’s not right, not OK
Say the word it should say
Maybe we’re better off this way?
I’m not fine, I’m in pain
It’s harder everyday
Maybe we’re better off this way?
It’s better that we break
Saw you sitting all alone
You’re fragile and you’re cold, but that’s all right
Life these days is getting rough
They’ve knocked you down and beat you up
But it’s just a rollercoaster anyway, yeah
It’s not right, not OK
Say the words that you say
Maybe we’re better off this way?
I’m not fine, I’m in pain
It’s harder everyday
Maybe we’re better off this way?
I’m not fine, not OK
Say the words that you say
Maybe we’re better off this way?
I’m not fine, I’m in pain
It’s harder everyday
Maybe we’re better off this way?
It’s better that we break, baby
Here's another great video for you.

Stuck In The Moment - Justin Bieber (album My World 2.0)
Canadian singer Justin Bieber plans to look for revenge for his lost at this year’s Grammy by dominating the prestigious awards show when it returns next year. The empress of glitter and unicorns, Kesha, is giving him a helping hand on his new album Believe. While waiting for Kesha's collaboration with Justin Bieber, let's learn how to sing another song from his second album "My World 2.0" entitled Stuck In The Moment.
(With you, with you
I wish we had another time,
I wish we had another place.)
Now Romeo and Juliet,
Bet they never felt the way we felt.
Bonnie and Clyde,
Never had to hide like we do, we do.
You and I both know it can't work,
It's all fun and games,
'til someone gets hurt,
And I know I wont let that be you
Now you don't wanna let go,
And I don't wanna let you know
That there might be something real between us two (who knew?)
Now we don't wanna fall but,
We're tripping in our hearts and,
It's reckless and clumsy,
Cause I know you cant love me, hey
I wish we had another time,
I wish we had another place,
But everything we have is stuck in the moment,
And there's nothing my heart can't do,
To fight with time and space,
Cause I'm still stuck in the moment with you
See like Adam and Eve,
Tragedy was our destiny,
Like Sonny and Cher,
I don't care I've got you baby.
See we both fighting every inch of our fiber,
Cause either way its gonna end right but,
We are both too foolish to stop.
Repeat Chorus
See like just because this cold, cruel world
Saying we can't be,
Baby, we both have the right to disagree,
And I ain't with it.
And I don't wanna be so old and gray,
Reminiscing about these better days,
But convention's telling us to let go
And I still let go,
So we'll never know
I wish we had another time,
I wish we had another place,
Cause everything we did,
And everything we have is stuck in the moment
(Yeah oh no no no)
I wish we had another time,
I wish we had another place,
But everything we have is stuck in the moment,
And there's nothing my heart can't do,
To fight with time and space,
Cause I'm still stuck in the moment with you
Let's sing the song with this great video.

R.I.P Whitney Houston: The Greatest Love of All
This is another successful cover recorded by Whitney Houston and it remains one of her biggest US hit. The song was written by Michael Masser and Linda Creed and initially recorded by Jane Olivor and then again by George Benson. Whitney was found dead in the bathtub in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel hours before she was supposed to appear at a pre-Grammy gala. Her cause of death is still unknown.
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody's searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me
Chorus
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Repeat Chorus
And if, by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love
I'll post more Whitney Houston's songs next hours.

Remembering Whitney Houston: It's Not Right but It's Okay
This song is great. I like its rhythm. It's hard to find a good R&B song like "It's not right, but it's OK" these days.
Friday night you and your boys went out to eat
Then they hung out,but you came home around three
Now if six of ya'll went out
Then four of you were really cheap
'Cause only two of you had dinner
I found your credit card receipt
It's not right but it's okay
I'm gonna make it anyway
Pack your bags up and leave
And don't you dare come
Running back to me
It's not right but it's okay
I'm gonna make it anyway
Close the door behind you
Leave your key
I'd rather be alone than unhappy
I pack your bags so you can leave town for a week
The phone rings and then you look at me
(Why'd you turn and look at me)
You said it was one of your friends
Down on 54th Street
So why did 213 show up on your caller ID
I've been through all this before
So how could you think
That I would stand around
And take some more
Things are gonna change
'Cause I won't be your fool anymore
That's why you have to leave
So don't turn around to see my face
There's no more tears
Left here for you to see
Was it really worth you going out like that
See I'm moving on and I refuse to turn back
See all of this time I thought I had somebody
down for Whitney
It turns out you were making a fool of me
It's not right but it's okay
I'm gonna make it anyway
Pack your bags up and leave
And don't you dare come
Running back to me
It's not right,but it's okay
I'm gonna make it anyway
Close the door behind you
Leave your key

Let's sing along with this video. It's remix. Yeah, it's not right, but it's OK.

Don't Ask Why - Vanessa Hudgens (album Identified)
Vanessa Hudgens is busy promoting her latest movie "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" so I think she doesn't have time for her singing career now. Her new movie is one of the most fun family movies I have seen in a while. Now it's time for our song of the day.
"Don't Ask Why"
I remember the day I first met you
You really caught my attention
Didn't know I was looking for a rescue
Wasn't thinking that hard
Now and then I was there in the moment
I was ready for nothing
Doesn't mean that I really don't love you
While I'm breaking your heart
Don't ask why
Before we get too close just let me
Say goodbye
It's easier this way
Don't ask why
Before you ask the question and I
Die Inside
Just let me walk away
I feel bad that I let my past hurt you
Cause I really didn't mean to
I was lost, I was lucky you found me
But it only got worse
Right now while you're looking right at me
The emotion's so scary
Doesn't mean that I really don't love you
While I'm making you hurt
Repeat Chorus
I know I want this more than ever
I wish there was another way
You see my words can only hurt you
'Till his shadow fades away!
Away
Oh
Chorus x 2
This song is a track from Vanessa Hudgens' second studio album Identified.
